Creative Mornings event with Anna Telcs speaking to her experience as a cross-pollinator within the disciplines of design, art and fashion. Filmed in Portland, OR in October, 2014.

Anna Telcs was born in England, and raised in the northwestern corner of the United States in Seattle, Washington a landscape prized for its strides in technology and sustainability.  Having studied Humanities at Seattle University (BA), Anna received a BFA in Industrial Design at the University of Washington finishing top of her class and the recipient of three scholarship grants.  Moving to New York Anna went to work in innovative and independent fashion houses, working for Thom Browne and Helmut Lang using her industrial design perspective to design engaging pieces of hardware and accessories, studying production and made to measure.

Concerned about the issues building within the industry Anna began creating artwork and costume to reflect her observations.  Presenting her work in museums and exhibitions world wide, highlights include showing at The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum's Works and Process Show, a solo show at the Henry Art Gallery (the museum at the University of Washington) and two of Anna’s pieces were accepted into the permanent collection of The Frye Art Museum (Seattle, WA). From 2008 Anna worked as a creative consultant for clients such as Microsoft, the Bezos foundation and Totokaelo and has been presenting her work and lecturing across the United States pivoting at the intersection of art, design and fashion’s impact on the human experience.  In 2015 Anna went to London to work with NOT JUST A LABEL (NJAL) the world's largest platform for independent and emerging designers. As Head of Agency, Anna enjoyed working with independent designers, corporations and government agencies to create better synergies within the fashion system.

Consulting on innovative projects will always be considered.  Please get in touch!
