The Dowsing Armatures / by Anna Telcs

The Henry Art Museum housed five armatures for The Dowsing 2013 performance.  Once the performance was staged in Red Square, each textile piece was brought to the gallery and arranged on an armature designed and made specifically to hold the design.  The anthropomorphic armatures stand 5'9" tall and are made of mild steel rubbed with a natural beeswax finish. Formed by Brian Constans of Precision Artworks and designed by Anna Telcs for The Dowsing 2013.  Photos by Brian Constans.
